SR transmission rebuild kit?

before I pull the trans in my SR-S13 and take it for rebuild (whinning too much in lower gears) is there somewhere I can get a bearing kit, or most good transmission shops should know what to do?

Just tell them it's a KA trans. 1st-4th gears are identical gears, and all the synchros and bearings are identical.

So, SR and KA trannies (all years excluding the S15) have the same internals and therefore use the same rebuild kit? I have to double cluth to go into second to avoid grinding and I'm in need of a rebuild, so I wanna get the rebuild kit from drivetrain.com and take to the shop so it'll be cheaper.

no no no, the above dude is wrong, they are NOT the same, I got both torn down next to each other, the SR's shift fork, synchro's and bearings are more meaty!! the number of teath per gear and angle is all different.

you can bolt the KA transmission to SR's bell housing and install to an SR engine, but the transmission's internall parts are different. With this info I'm learning that some SX drivers have KA trannies in their SRs ?!?!

Only 5th gear is different. I've had both SR and KA transmissions torn down next to each other and they are identical.

So rebuilding with a KA rebuild kit, such as those offered by drivetrain.com, be good for the SR transmission gears 1-4? What would you do about 5th gear? If it ain't broke don't fix it I guess
