Sr transmission harness

ok i've searched like crazy and i just cant figure it out! ok i know that they say you could use sr s13 or ka s13 transmission harness on any s13 chassis...so now that you know i've searched and i know how all that works. here is my problem well when i got my car my transmission harness was all cut up! and when i got my swap i was like ok i have my transmission harness no worries right! well i have a 97 kouki s13 black top and where the harness would plug into my car is different...now here's my question if i cut off my transmission harness's plug where it would plug into the chassis harness and wire it up would it be ok? the only thing i noticed that was different was one purple wire from the sr harness and from the ka harness its the green with blue wire but everything else is the same except that the green/white wire from the sr is thicker than the one from the ka! now i know this might be a bit confusing but trust me im freaking confused...i dont know if i when i finish up with wiring it and somethings goes wrong because of those two wires ima be pissed! so i figured id ask you guys.

i have s14sr in my s14 chasis.i used the ka transmission harness.i cut the plugs off the ka trans and put them on the sr trans and everything works.most of the wire colors from the ka plugs matched right up to the sr.

im about to do my s13sr into my s13 coupe in a couple days so if u dont figure it out ill let you know
