I went to change out my transmission fluid with some Amsoil and my transmission drain plug is trashed! Looks like someone took a chisel to it. I am going to do the same to get it off but I would like to get a new drain plug. Can I just go down to nissan and get a drain plug for a KA transmission? Does it matter if it is a S13 or S14 transmission or are they all the same? I would love this info ASAP so I can get this nasty fluid out and the good stuff in! Thanks in advance, Alex.

Well since the gearboxes are interchangable i would certainly assume they are the same :P

they are the same btw. had to use both my drain and fill plugs off of the DOHC KA transmission. my sr one's were toast! had to jam a small *** socket in both to get it out. i was literlly in the air using all my body mass to break that damn thing loose. probably stayed in the air for at least a min or two.

I feel ya. My SR fill plug must have been put on with on impact wrench or they used loctite or something. I can't seem to get the thing off. I am contemplating buying an electric impact wrench for just such an occasion.

have you got it loose yet?? if not, the impact wrench might not work. i got to the point where the socket wouldn't grip on there. i had to hammer a really small socket in there. hope you have craftsman cuz my socket didn't scratch at all.
