I have searched and think my case is somthing quite new so I am going to ask.....

Current setupJDM S14 with SR20DE and Auto Box

I want to know if the swap to an RB20 would be similar to what you guys do with the KA's, like will the wiring be the same? ... will the thing still be a bolt in job? will I need a new diff? etc etc?

ok as long as bolting in the motor goes its the same as what we all do i.e. bolt up skyline crossmember and engine and the rest of the related parts. about wiring you gotta get the pinout for the sr f4 plug and just cross reference it with the rb to s14 wiring guide thats on this forum.

oh yeah your s14 came with an open diff most probably an r180 ive seen it its pretty skinny and looks like a 280z one so an lsd unit will definately be better.

280Z is about the hardest things to find parts for here... would I be able to use a Skyline Diff insted??

yeah you can use a skyline one just meant that the jdm s14 n/a diff looks like a 280z one

cool ... this is going to turn out to be one hell of a lot of work ... but I think at the end of the day the results will be worth it (SR20DE is a useless engine, my Honda D15b has more grunt)

Anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for the s4 plug on the SR harness??
