Sr Timing Question

Ive searched and ive been on frsport. Just a quick question. Do i have to turn the crank until the 2 black chains are on top @ tdc until i can put the cas in or does it have to be on tdc only?

The mating marks have to be at the two silver links before you install the CAS. You cant just leave it at any TDC.
