I went to put the throttle cable on my SR today and saw that the SR throttle cable bracket has a circular bushing on it and I was wondering if this is needed because when I took the cable off my KADE I just loosened the nuts and slid it off but in order to get it, the same throttle cable, on this bushing I'll have to get the two nuts off it and I can't see how to get them over the metal piece at the tip of the throttle cable. Anyone???

Pictures of what your talking about and perhaps I can be of some assistance...

The cable should be the one that was in the car to begin with. The bracket on my S14 Sr was no different than that of my Ka. Just unloosened the one nut slide the bolt part into the bracket and tightened down the nut.

I think that you definately need it for cable tension reasons...I actually think I have another one in the garage somewhere if you need one, Ill look for it after the Notre Dame game..

I'll take a pic of it tomorrow. I have a bracket I just don't see anyway to get that cable through that bushing without taking the two nuts off the cable.
