sr???

ok just finished the sr swap s14 notchback into s14.

the problem I'm havin is that the car is runnin rich black smoke. at wot the car just hesitates or doesn't want to go. i changed the spark plugs and still no change. it sounds like it's missfirin. like when u step on it it doesn't get any fuel. what could be the problem.

Well, if you are running rich, you are getting TOO MUCH fuel and it's bogging down. Are you hitting on all cylinders? Do you have a good MAF?

i disconnected the first two coils and it still kept runnin so i guess i was missin. Not sure about the maf.

Well man, it sounds like it could be any number of things. You'll need to make sure the coils are good, MAF is good, o2 sensor, etc, etc. Also make sure you don't have any plug wires crossed. I've done that before and it makes you feel REAL stupid.

also check your piping. You are describing a leak, probably before the throttle body.

Make sure all your hoses are plugged and make sure all of your intercooler pipes and turbo pipes are sealed tight. there should be no air leaks in that system and even a small one will make the car act really strange
