I just did an sr swap into my s13, heres the issue, i tried cranking and i got a lil' exhaust growl (for a split second, rev's too) then keeps cranking with no sign of starting. The wiring was done by Import Intelligence, i checked for spark and fuel. The motor was running when i checked it out originally. There was fuel all over the plugs, changed them and same result. It has a fuel pressure regulator, im wondering if its too high of a fuel pressure because there is a strong fuel smell. Any ideas?

Injector O-rings??? Thats what it sounds like. Pull the fuel rail off and leave the injectors in the fuel rail. Turn the key to on but dont crank the motor. If your orings are bad your rail will leak. Were all of the plugs wet with fuel??

definately check the o-rings, and make sure that you change your oil before you try to start the car again. Fuel in oil is extra hard on your bearings.

i installed a fuel pressure gauge, it was at 40ish psi, still didn't start. Took the injector plugs off, started right away, died fast. I put the plugs back on the injectors and it started and ran pretty good but a high idle. The temp gauge wasn't working and realized i mixed up the tps(q45 throttle body) and the temp gauge plug, i switched them back and didn't start.....even though the temp gauge was now working. Any ideas? probably the tps.

I hooked up my boost gauge and im only reading 14lbs of vacuum...i hear its supposed to be 20-24ish, i looked and looked for leaks aside from pressure testing the system. My idle is all over the place(900-1200, and when it warms up it climbs to about 1400), anybody have any insight? would a vacuum leak cause this wild *** situation? Again this swap was purchased because i saw it running, and running well. Thanks dudes!
