No, I'm running the stock s14 recir. valve with a combination of a s13 intercooler with s14 piping. It you on it hard and let off you can hear a whoosh. But it's very quiet/steathly. I know it leaks alot but and probably slows down my spool time. But for now it works. I did install a non adjustable BOV once a bailey model from my friends turbo miata. These bov's don't leak at idle and you need one that doesnt. It vented and then I would here turbine stall or what ever it's called. So I didnt go with one of those. But I have read that the ball bearing turbo can take the turbo stall. But I don't want to risk damaging the turbo. With an auto you wont hear it between shifts only when you let off the gas.I love my auto. I have a leg injury and needed one. One of the drawbacks I see with my car is the timing control. Off the line if you floor it, apparently the ecu pulls timing so you loose some power. If your a little easier on the go pedal from a stop its quicker off the line. My car isnt super fast. It runs low 14's in the 1/4 mile at 10-11 psi on 18's. My mods are 3inch downpipe, resonated test pipe, megan catback. fuel pump,300zx fuel filter, cheapie boost controller, koyo rad, dual 10"fans, Q45 front brakes. And I still have my A/C, custom lines made.I would like to have more bottom end power. I think with some retuning of the ecu and a tq converter these would help out greatly. I don't know anything about the ca18. How much tq does this engine have? Being smaller displacement this will probably hurt you off the line.
