sr swap will the 89 driveshaft work

got a question guys i have a 91 and its an auto so i've been trying to fina a driveshaft and a buddy of mine has a 89 will it work or not

the 240's driveshaft is a 2 piece unit. The front half, attaches to the transmission, and is specific for auto or 5 spd. The rear half is the same for auto and manual.

That being said, if the car has abs, the rear half of the driveshaft will be 1" shorter than a non abs driveshaft. This is because the abs rear end has a sensor that makes it 1" longer.

the short answer is; 5 spd to 5spd, yes. auto to auto yes. ABS to ABS, yes

so was that a yes a 89 manual drive shaft will work on my car with a sr20 in it

yeah, but like the guy said, it all depends on if you have abs

we are gonna assume you have 5 speed, so as long as its a 5 speed non abs drive shaft, going into your car that DOESNT have abs, and has a manual trans on the sr, you should be fine.
