I'm helping install a redtop into my friends s13 and wanted to post pics of our progress. We started around 7pm tonight, as we had nothing to do. We took out the wiring harness, radiator, ac condensor and various other things we could take out. Finished around 10pm. Will begin again tomorrow, with an engine hoist.

and here's the ***** that's going in...

along with some other stuff...

My friend can't wait to drop that sucker in. I'll post more pics tomorrow.

Hahaha, I don't know, this is at my friend's house.

About the oil... lol, it's worse than oil, it's transmission fluid. =D

It didn't smell too bad.

We just finished putting in the motor. We're going to wire it up tomorrow, all we need is a CAS and it's ready to get fired up!

If it doesnt cranks it doent turn over. Do you mean the motor tries to start but doesnt catch? Check you timing and make sure you have fuel and spark.

If you had to remove the CAS and put it back in chances are your timing is way off. Have someone rotate it while the other person tries cranking.

from the look in the pics your motor looks to be lop-sided, did you fix that and if yes how? did you have any probs bolting the transmission mount back up?

The SR sits like that. It leans to one side. SR, KA, RB, CA engines are all like that. It's normal.
