I did a search, but I couldn't get the results narrowed down enough to find what I need.

I was wondering if there was a highly detailed step-by-step instruction write up anywhere on the net.

go to http://www.heavythrottle.com. They have a very detail analylis of all that is involved with the swap.

It's detailed, but it doesn't cover everything, and there is some stuff that is covered there that you don't need to know about. You need to talk to somebody who has personally done the swap. There aren't any "step by step" resources on the internet, just little pieces of valuable information.
