I've spent alot of time searching this site but this is my first post. I'm in the final stages of swapping in an S13 redtop from a Silvia into a 1989 240sx hatch. I have the complete car and the complete clip so I should have all the parts I need. About to finish up the wiring harness and just wanted to make sure I'm doing the right thing. I have read lots of posts and gone to all the install websites, but they don't all say the same thing. Please tell me if you have advice, suggestions or if I'm doing something wrong. First off I will be using a proper solder gun, 10/40 rosin flux solder, heat shrink tubing and electrical tape. Now for the wiring, starting at the computer. I will be using the clip JDM gauges so I assume I can just plug the SR plug into the KA dash plug, or do I still have to solder the 6 wires together? Then, when I place the harness into engine bay I have to plug everything up except for the harnesses by the battery. I cut off the two KA connectors and one SR connector and splice the wires together according to the chart. I will be extending the MAF wires and power steering wires too. I have the dohc steering lines so it looks like I just extend from over by the battery to the other side. I also will be mounting the ignitor in it's proper place on the driver side, so I have to extend those wires too right? Last but not least do I have to switch out harnesses or plugs or the speed sensor for the transmission, or does it plug right into the KA harness? Thanks for the help.
