Brand new mounts will be thicker than the old softer worn out mounts but your hood will close if the engine is placed in the car properly. I have a brand new set of Nismo motor mounts on my swap and the hood closes perfectly. Many other people on here will tell you the same.

I've seen many people with Nismo motor mounts have issues with hood clearances. The clearance issue is the only reason I never bought a set of Nismo mounts. Also, in my personal opinion, you'd be better with a torque dampener than the mounts if you're trying to cut down on torsional losses of the motor.

And you may want to wait more than 15 minutes to bump your own thread in the middle of the night to make a declaration of illegal activity.
