I'm swapping over my SR from my 90 hatch to my 92 Vert. Of course I also installed the wiring harness and the 5 speed transmission.

My question is: Although I swapped the upper/lower harness and ecu, since the car used to be auto, is there any other wiring I gotta do to make it work? And if so, what and where?

This may be up on a post already but I've always had trouble finding answers here when i search...

Check this link out: zerothread?id=77784It explains the wiring you will need to do to get the top to work and your reverse lights.

Yeah...the search tool is very touchy...if you don't word it just right you will not find what you want. I've found that less is better with the search tool. Also if your looking for Vert topics, narrow your search just to the Vert forum.

Hope this helps...I used it to change my vert over to 5 speed

Word of advice, use the auto lower harness so the speed sensor plugs into the chassis wiring. 5 speeds use a different plug than autos on the chassis.

I have to admit it... I got lazy and sent mine out. I read Barts write up like a bible. I did help me with the little things like my top working and reverse lights. I even bought the video from Wiring Specialities http://wiringspecialties.com/. I bought tape, wiring wraps...etc. Then I just sent it to Yuri at Wiring Specialities, told them what I needed .. one week later (and $150 lighter) and "poof" perfect wiring harness and I helped a NICO sponsor too. Pretty much plug and play. Just a thought. But the write up by HiJacker is all you need to do the auto and top stuff. Just read it a bunch of times first and then do it. Good luck.
