ok i have an s13 blacktop, and im idling right now at about 1000 rpms, it was bouncing between 800 and 1200 and i did the dumb thing and adjusted the throttle stop screw to try to fix it, which of course didnt work, and ended up figuriing out it was a leak in the FPR making it jump. after i fixed that i got it adjusted to sit around 800 with the throttle cable adjustment, and trying to set the throttle stop screw back to where i "thought" was the origional location. anyways, now it back at 1000. and when i drive it, it accelerates just fine, all the way through the power band, but when i come to a stop it drops any where from 600 to 200 rpms, and acts like its about to die then kinda creeps back to 1000. i checked timing and its good, and i tried to find a write up on putting the throttle stop screw back to factory spec (for people that make the mistake like me) but i couldnt find anything. anyways i read a writup on how to check the TPS, and it said that manual trans only has a three pin plug....and when looking at my plug.... it has six pins. i was under the impression that six pins where for automatic, but my swap came as a five speed. either way, i need to know exactly which wires to go off of for check and adjustment, is it still just black and white wire??? and aside from that any other things that might cause these issues.ive done some searching, but no good finds as of yet..... ish. either way, the setup is completely stock, except the FMIC and a walbro 255. my BOV is recirc'd also.

hopefully i gave enough info for a diagnosis.... i need to get this thing done soon.. my other car is about to crap out on me.

thanks alot guys

I have almost identical issue but I haven't had the time yet to deal with it. I also just recently swapped an engine but mine is S14 SR.

I had the same problem, I just followed the procedure to adjust the idle, and opened up the idle air screw a tad. Not enough to really raise the idle, but enough that it doesn't almost die when I come to a stop now.

make sure you do plenty of reading and using the search button at top of page.

to adjust idle... warm car up unplug tps plug. then using screw adjust to 650 or so. plug tps plug back in. I also have 6 wire plug. its no biggy. next will be cleaning the iacv. there is a write up on that as well on here.good luck

Thanks for the info, I have searched a bit, but I didn't find anything that fit my problem specifically. I would have searched more extensively, but I'm running out of time. Thanks again though, I'll go try the idle adjustment and iacv, and update on how it goes

same problem here... i cant figure it out. But it sounds like you might have a manual set up with an automatic ecu...check the big number on your ECU i think the automatic should have like a 63 or something.
