Ok, I decided that I want do get an SR. I know I will need motor mounts transmission mounts, driveshaft, brake/ clutck pedals, not sure what else.

The motor im buying comes with everything I think. ECU, wiring harnes, water pump, starter, 5 speed, everything else too I think.

Anyone think that I will need to buy anything else?

I have a friend with a CRX and he did the ZC swap. He said that whenever you do an jdm swap you should allways change the seels.

On the other hand we just swapped a Turbo 7M in my friends mark 3.... No seels changed on that and its fine.

I need your guys imput on what I should do when I get the motor. I dont want to put it all in and discover that I should of done other things too.

Im also going to paint my engine compartment black so that once I paint the outside of my car black the engine bay wont look stupid in white.

God damn, some people these days.

Last July I was one of the only people that was EXCITED to build up a KA and boost it... Now everyones agains SR's when I plan to get one.

By the way, I love KA... Although they need a good rebuild so that they dont break rods or anything like that. Saposidly they are forged allready but they definetly havent proven their strenght to me yet. I getting soo fed up with KA"s its not even funny so thats why im resorting to an SR20 I think.

Changing as much as possible, maintenance-wise, is always a good idea if you can afford it when swapping in an engine with an unknown history. And you won't *need* new mounts, but those too, wouldn't hurt.

Gunna go ahead and put this into the SR section for ya.

Another thing too, I hear that you should run a differnt type of spark plug when turboing a motor... is this true and if so what would you guys recomend?

Also, I would like to know what kind of oil filter is used for SR's?

SR Oil Filter is I believe a 93 or 94 Sentra SER 2.0L oil filter.

You use a colder plug also I belive on Turbo Motors. like NGKs (what I use)

That was a stupid question about the oil filter. Of course!

The sentra SE-R and 200sx SE-R have sr's, downgraded, bust still sr's.

when you get the motor check for oil traces, replace gaskets where the leak sources. Check for play on turbo. Check play on fuel pump. It's not a bad idea to go ahead replace the thermostat. Most of the time it get stock since it's been setting in the junk yard for a long time and the cavity built up. Replace all the belts. I wouldn't buy motor mounts yet until you see the motor, if your lucky it might come with an after market. I got the front clip and it came with a nismo sets.
