my friends sr is studdering every time u floor it or get on it more than like 40 % throttle it studders and then after a lil bit takes off , we changed the spark plugs gapped at .030 ngk, (took out the denso irriduims that were pre gapped at .043)usually when i start it up and its cold it will almost shut off when i give it gas but if i wait like 30sec then give it gas it hesitates and then goes especially when driving on the highway and leave it in 5th and floor it it jumps like if ur in 1st and take it 5000 and get off and then back on it. but if u downshift to like third and get on it it hesitates for a few secs then takes off??? what do u guys think:ylsuper

alright thanks, were going to try and check for boost leaks tommorow, cant u hook up an adapter with an 1 way inlet valve to the compreesor housing, and push air through it and listen for boost leaks, that how i was plaing to do it.

Did you mess with any of the sensors? MAFS, TPS, CAS can all cause problems like this if they aren't tuned right.

well, we have took those into concerteration but we were hoping it would of been something smaal and pretty cheap to repair right now, he had that motor in his frist car, and then he wrecked it, and the CAS cap was borken off, and now its kindof just chilling their open with a crapy homemade cap, but how would u check the TPS, and MAFs to see if their working?

TPS, just move it while the cars on, the car should start to die if you open the sensor. You can adjust the sensor, but if you didnt initially touch it, I would leave it till last.

MAFS may not be brokem since when it breaks, it usually stops the engine from going over 2400 RPM's.

hey wuts up Craig031600, i think its and exhaust leak at the manifold, nad the turbo, would that cause a boost leak, b/c he only pushes a good 5 psi on a good day, and its runs 7 stock, or used to when we first got that engine in

if u had a leak in between the manifold and the turbo it woldnt studder it would just be really loud and would be slow it wouldnt studder...... i say check ur spark plugs agian and gap them to .28......if thats not the problem then its a leak.....
