After anytime the motor is cold and has been sitting a while it has the following issues:

Cranks over and fires up right away, however after everytime it fires up it idles at maybe 300 rpm for a second and then dies. This happens several (maybe 4-5 times) before it will start up and finally hold an idle.

The car has no battery charging issues, starter issues or ignition/MAF issues at all. I delved into this problem a long while ago thinking it was the coolant temp sensor. I bought a new one from option (the one to the ECU, not the useless gauge one) to no avail. Problem still persists... I thought it might be a fuel pressure regulator issue for cold start (not raising pressure) but when I crimp the return line (to manually bump the pressure) the problem still persists.

The only thing I can maybe think of is a leaking injector. There are no visible signs at all from the exterior so I assume the only way to really find out if an injector is the culprit is to take off the fuel rail and inspect all the o-rings. Does anyone else have any input on this? I mean most of the posts dealign with issues like this have resulted in someones bad wiring, MAF, coolant temp sensor or FPR. Im clueless as to what to try next. Any ideas or help would be stupendous.

So it starts up fine when warm? Do you have anything else in the loop that we should know about, like an AFC or anything like that?
