ok so i have an s13 blacktop sr with a few mods but nothing too crazy. anyway, here lately (i havent been driving it because of this) it sounds like sometimes it is running on 3 cyclinders (i dont think it is doing it all the time but 90%) no loose connections or anything. it also blows white smoke out of the exhaust, but the oil is not milky or anything. but i just changed the spark plugs and that did nothing. for some reason i think it is the head gasket. anyone got any other ideas?i am going to do a compression test tonightand yes i searched for a while. =)

check the coils just in case. turbo seals could be bad too..causeing the motor to burn alot of oil and run like crap. both of these have happened to me!

oo and just a tip to check which cylinder "isnt contributing".... let the motor run at idle, and one at a time disconnect and then reconnect the injectors. if one of the injectors doesnt affect the motor, or has less change than the others when unplugged then there is ur bad cylinder.

I'M GOING THROUGH THE SAME PROBLEM. COMPRESSION IS 150 ACROSS THE BOARD. I HAD DID WHAT TWOFOURZEROSX DID WHILE AT WORK TODAY AND WALLAH. NO 1 INJECTOR STUCK OPEN. IT'S BEEN RUNNING RICH AND NOT PULLING AS HARD. I WANNA CHECK O2 TO MAKE SURE IT'S COOL. BUT NOW I KNOW. YOU SHOULD DEFINETLY CHECK THAT.

cool, i will check compression, coilpacks, and injectors in the next day or two. i did change the injector rings right before it started acting funny, but i dont see why that would cause white smoke.

update, it was the injector rings. tartan4X4 from this forum upgraded the injector rings for me, and it turns out they basically decentigrated. so i changed the injector rings and she runs fine. still has a medium amount of white smoke under throttle, but not idle so i think the turbo seals are probably going out even though it seems to boost fine. thanks for your help guys!
