SR Runs rich when its cold

My car runs rich when its cold it idles rough and there is lots of smoke. i have to slowly rev it for about 10mins then it goes to normal. Does anyone else have this problem. Its not my daily driver I start it up like 2 or 3 times a week. When temp is 45 or above it starts up normal.

some o2 sensors dont activate until the normal engine operating temperature is acquired, not sure if thats the prob, but a possibilty

the car runs rich until the engine warms up. it's normal. also, fuel econ goes downhill during the colder months because of this

i also have a SEVERELY over rich warmup.. you can smell fuel from the exhaust. its often accompanied by misfires and misfires are often accompanied by small droplets of fuel shooting out my exhaust.

check & set your timingGet good/new spark plugs and torque them correctly

these two things helped me greatly. but i think my stock Fuel Pressure Regulator is going dead.

i need to yank my plugs and check them, but the guy i bought the car from is a good mechanic, and i'm assuming he already checked and replaced the plugs as needed. Plus it's cold as balls out right now, and the garage has been overrun by my father and his woodworking projects

i just ordered some new plugs from phase2motortrend i'll put em in and see what happens
