Blue smoke = burning oil. Burning oil usually occurs on SR's from blown turbo seals, blown head gasket, or valve stem seals going bad.
Also MAFS wiring, leaks in the vacuum hoses, and leaks in the intake piping will all cause the engine to stall at idle.
if none of these would account for your idle problem. Do you have a BOV?Atmospheric BOV's will attempt to make the car die after releasing metered air. The looser the BOV the more it will try to die off of every boost run. The tighter it is, the more boost it will hold in, and the idle will be much more stable, but the BOV wont release as easily when the throttle plate closes. This causes the turbo seals to go out quickly, then you start to burn oil.
