Hey all...so I have a BIG problem..

My sr is running pig rich..at idle and extremely light throttle AFR is between 13.0-16.0, full throttle or more than 1/4 throttle AFR is 10.0...I'm getting MAYBE 14mpg..usually about 160miles or so to 3/4 tank.

I'm thinking either o2 sensor or coolant temp sensor..?

Mods:Stock turbo 15psiFull 3in exhaust, gutted catCAI255 walbroFMICVent to atm. BOV300zx fuel filter

My car was running extremely well, and all a sudden just started guzzling fuel..it will rev up fine and go thru all gears, however i get a 10.0AFR reading..?

Any ideas?? Please help, id rather not see my SR spin a bearing

I would try recirculating the BOV.

Getting an Aftermarket FPR.

And check your orings for leaky injectors.

Try replacing the coolant temp sensor. One from a KADET will work.

Okay, so i replaced my coolant temp sensor and o2 sensor..im getting a little better gas mileage, however still getting extreme rich readings. Also, the car feels sluggish, and every once and a while it will lightly buck..hahaha!!! I tried swapping a sr20de fpr, and still no change either...ideas anyone...?? I'm really afraid to spin a bearing

Did you check for leaky injectors? fpr might be done.

Unbolt the fuel rail from the manifold. Turn the key to run and look for fuel coming around the injectors.

Just unbolt the fuel rail? Or, fully pull it out of the manifold? And when you say turn it to run..like have the car actually running or the key position right before full ignition..?

Unbolt it and pull it out so you can see the bottom of the injectors. turn the key to run, don't go to start, and look for any fuel leaking around the injectors.

Okay little update...

I took the MAF apart and cleaned it, as well as the throttle body..and when I took off the intercooler piping on the throttle body side I found that the previous owner cut a slit in the pipe so it would fit snug in the old battery tray!!!

So, I took the piping out, cut it in half and put a silicon coupler there and tightened the hell out of it. Car seems to be running extremely well now. I just need to turn my boost controller down a lot to get a more safer reading at higher rpm

I'll keep everyone posted

o2 sensor do jack **** in SRs lol so I doubt it's that. I've actually ran without mine for a while.

Have you done a boost leak test?

Nope..I think I found the problem..being a hole in the intercooler piping. I'm no longer getting 10.0 AFR readings, everything seems to be looking good. I need to turn my boost down today to get my AFR's in a better higher rpm reading. Right now its looking high 12 AFR's....

oh haha, I guess I would have saw that if I read the whole thread before posting. Boost leaks suck and can make your car gay.
