Not sure if this is possible, but can I run a SR radiator on a KAE? Will I be running too cool? Any help is appreciated.

I guess that's fine and all...will the engine be to cold. Thus meaning the car never actually warms up correctly.

I dont think and extra 14 inches of hose will make your car run cooler. But yes you can make it fit but if your buying new then get the right one.

it sounds like you're worried that an SR radiator is going to be TOO effective. the answer is no, it will be fine. I used to run a koyo racing radiator on a KA and it never ran too cold. as long as your thermostat is in good working condition you won't have any problems. it simply won't open until the motor is warm enough, and will close if the coolant gets too cold.

The upper hose is on the opposite side. It'll look like this.

This is a KA rad on an SR.

Thank you for the pics. Looks like I can run my hoses along the stock intake manifold. Arigato-gozaimasu!

i have another pic. the only reason mine is this way is because i bought the wrong one and couldn't return it. i didn't notice a difference in cooling because i put it in with a rebuilt motor and e fans. the needle is slightly less than halfway up the gauge. not worth it, just buy the one for the ka unless its free

you could run a diesel radiator and still not be "too cool." the thermostat regulates the water flow in the engine. so you can run the biggest friggin rad and still be fine. plus the only difference in the sr radiator versus the ka radiator is the inlet to the radiator. so no you arent that "cool" lol sorry man

I'm only running my SR rad because I sold the SR and wasn't going to let a nice radiator just sit in a box. Muaha, I wouldn't buy an SR rad for a KA though, less it was a close to free
