hey guys me and my buddy just finished up his sr swapped s13 and cranked it over last night and it has a high idle about 2500, but we disconnected the throttle cable and it went down to about 2g..oh and there is smoke coming off the turbo manifold and everything is hooked up and tightened..think it couldve been from greasy hands touching it and the manifold heating up, but here is what we did and cannot find out this idle issue:

fixed exhaust leak and loose manifold bolts
new front mount set up and all couplers are tight
backed off cas to get idle to about 1500..going to go back and use timing light, but now we are stumped and cant figure out where the smoke is coming from and high idle problem..maybe bad turbo seals or idk but it rises right off the manifold..can someone help us.. :(

damn...ill post a video next time we work on it, but im going to try and see waht happens if we clean the maf..if nothing ill try the stop screw..if nothing im going to all the sensors that you listed that play a big role like in your link, but i will get you some more info possibly in a few days
