I was just wondering... most the sites I have been to ive seen the S14 SR20 and the RB25DET engines are around or equal to each other in price. How could this be? The RB has 30hp on the SR... is it just because of the sudden SR20 swap craze?

supply and demand. the hp output doesnt have any affect on price. its what people want and what they will pay for it.

if nobody wanted an rb25, the price would be substantially lower.

but supply on RB25's will substantially decrease once it becomes more popular and feasable to swap it. Also, while the engines may be comparitively priced, the little hidden costs will add up quicker on the RB. Motor mounts, wiring harness, dash harness all need to be done as well, and the costs of that will easily make the S14 SR more feasable

Ya,i was just wondering because i was looking at underground motorsports's kit for the RB25DET/26TT swap. I dont think that if an RB got more popular that the price would go down... its the same with the SR, when it got popular the price went up.
