sr question...

i have an s14 sr.... my problem is is that after driving at high gear.... when i come to a stop or slow down to a lower speed and down shift, right after i down shift, and go to gas it again, the motor stalls for a bit.... if i press and depress the gas pedal it stalls and chokes.... but if keep the gas press without letting on and off, it goes away....

i recently notice this problem after washing my engine bay.... didnt bug me at first but its starting to grow into me...

any help would be great.... maybe some of you longtime sr owners had this problem before.... any help or advice would be great....thanks...

Any ecu codes??? You might have fried something.

You didnt fry anything. Its a common problem when running an open atmosphere BOV. When mine did it the best thing to do is is ether try recurculate the BOV, althhough for some reason it didnt work for me, or buy an S-AFC2 and never have that problem again. S-afc's are going for pretty cheap now and it has a setting meant for open open atmosphere bov's.

who said anything about not recirculating the bov.... i still have stock bov.... everything is stock... ecu not throwing any codes... check eng light not coming on... happens every other day.... not every day.... no mods on the engine... how the front clip is , is how i had everything setup....
