I'm having a very bad idle problem. When I start my engine my rpm will go up to anywhere from 1200 to 1500 or so then start idling down a little at a time until my engine eventually dies out. sometimes it will idle fine but vary rarely and if it does idle fine once I give it a little gas the engine will die out. The idle adjustment screw had no effect what so ever when I turned it (many many times)... i even warmed up my engine then shut it off..unplugged the tps started it back up unplugged the iacv aac plug and still the screw had no effect...another thing ive done is raised the voltage on my tps at idle and still nothing....I checked my ecu and the first 2 times was given a code 22 (bad iacv or circuit) i continued to check for codes but after the first 2 times i only got a code 55 (no problems code)

things I have replaced...-brand new oem IACV (ohms check out good and so does continuity)-brand new oem TPS (voltage checks out good)-MAF voltage checks out good ( I checked it even though I did not think that was my problem since I am not burning rich.)- no vacuum leaks, I have checked many times.

The last thing i can think of is my ecu..i just recently had it tuned for my new setup and its a good tune accept for maybe this one problem..the guy will be sending me a new chip and i'll have it next week. But until then does anybody have any ideas of what else this might possibly be? hoping its not internally

sounds like a busted iacv to me. You'll soon see why I got a Greddy intake manifold, not just for better top end but for ease of maintainence. lol

First of all I know the good in having a greddy intake manifold..dont make me jealous because you have one and I dont lol

Second of all how could it be a bad/busted iacv..its not a used part that i bought off of somebody on here or ebay..its brand new oem and i visually inspected it before install..not busted...

....also i just got done cleaning my TB thouroughly and I am still having the same problem..I also checked my ecu for codes again and im still getting a code 55..anybody want to chime in and tell me what it could be other than my ecu ( Just so i have some other stuff to check out..Im worried it may not be the ecu because the guy who tuned it told me it checked out perfectly when he tested it on his dyno..so just say that he's right..i want to have some other stuff to fall back on) I have no other clue of what it could be..other than internally like i said before

I HIGHLY DOUBT ITS INTERNAL!!! well lets see here. i had a similar problem to yours. my engine would cold start fine then after warm up i t wouldnt hold its timing or a consistand idle. i checked everything you descrided and came up empty. ecu was throwing code 55 the majority of the time and some other one off and on. so one day i boroke out the volt meter and started testing every fuse and relay under the hood. i came across that my fuel pump relay was shuting off and turning on all by its self. so i changed the relay many diferent times. thats when i decided to buy a new 02 sensor. after the new o2 sensor was in my fuel pump would not shut off when priming. i found out that the brown wire from the sr harness was spliced in to my fuel pump relay and when ever the o2 sent a signal to the computer my relay would kick on or off. im almost 100% that your problem lies within your wiring somewhere. if you go to heavythrottle.com they have wiring directions for the sr harness i would start there and then start testing all relays and fuses. sounds like a bad ground or a short or something wiried wrong. well i hope that helps. if you email me @ [email protected] and give me ur number ill give you a call instead of playing post or email tag. hope this helps.
