Hey guys, Im installing a red top into my 93 fastback and Im running a problem. Well, upon start up of my engine everything turns over and runs, but has a horrible dead miss. Me thinking it was an injector or injectors, tests the ones on the engine. Two injectors were failing so I got 4 new ones. Well thinking that would solve the problem, it did a little bit but didnt. Did a compression test and the engine is 170 psi all the way across. It seems like number 3 cylinder is not firing. What could it be? All the wiring seems good, tested good. All coilpacks tested good. Could it be the Ignitor chip???

Does the sr use packs? And not to seem like a jackass but yall changed plugs right? Also, do you have everything well grounded?

Yes, swapped the coilpacks around and they were all getting signal and doing what they are supposed to be doing. Also, spark plugs are brand new. I was thinking maybe the timing was off. We havent set the timing so could this be a factor?

CAS timing can make the engine seem like its not running right. I would try that first. Generally when an igniter chip goes out none of the cylinders will fire.

adjust your tps to 480 mili volts, then do your idle with tps disconnected, then the same way, do your timing to 15 deg above tdc. then check your fuel pressure regulator, pinch the return line, and see if that helps, this is what i did to get my sr running awsome
