well, my motor turns on fine after i swap but i have a bad oil pump so i replace it and prime it for like 2 - 5 mins and after that i put everything back on and the motor wouldnt start. will it cranks but theres no spraks.. i think it might be the ecu cuz my apexi SAFC is not on when i put it into on mode on ignition... so is it that the ecu if fried ?? the apexi SAFC is on b4 when i place it on ON positon on the ignition thought.. U guys know wha is wrong.. do i need to get new ecu ??? or wha is up with it??? thx:(

ECU would have nothing to do with the windshield washers, and probably have nothing to do with the SAFC failing. Id really check those fuses again, if your car is old things will start going out sometimes.

Personally, I would start checking everything with a multimeter or a test light. That way you know you also have power to the fuse and that a fusible link is not blown or something.

Did you ever make any sparks or anything by the battery? I had a problem where my car wouldn't start, but it'll crank, and what I believed it to be was that my ECU got fried. I put in a new ECU and it worked. I though it was my ecu because my CD deck got fried also, so I figured if my cd deck is dead, then my ecu must be dead also. Maybe if you have a friend or someone there that has a ECU that might let you try it to see if it works or not, that would be a good idea.

Sounds like basic wiring prob to me. grab yer trusty test light and start looking for fried wires also. ignition assy is usual suspect.... so i've been told

well, i did make an spark by my alumium piping when i try to install an extanded wire from positive wire to the fuel pump and try to pump the oil to my oil pump.. so i guess that might fried the ecu huh.. cuz all the fuses are fine condition. and wha are u guys talkin about a wire test ?? where should i test it at. wha part of the car??? i mean there is power to the ecu by the ecu wont return power. so i think that is y ecu is not giving sparks to my coils. and besides the windshiel motor is contorl my ecu, also turn signals, AC, heat, and all ignition materials cuz if the ecu dont return power back to all those materials i dont think they would work on ignition rite ? cuz those all dont work when i put it on ignition. i test the power wire to ecu and there is power but when i test the back power from ecu no power at all.. so i guess thats the ecu rite ? thx

While I will freely admit that I am not sitting here looking at the wiring diagrams, usually there is a main relay that controls most of the other relays and provides power to most of the systems in the car. Is your ecu getting switched power? Does it have constant power? Ground? There are a lot of things to check before you say the ecu is bad. And did you check all of the relays, fuses, and fusible links under the hood as well as the ones inside the car?
