sr problem

the starter isnt engauging...on the bench my 2 sr starters will pop out and spin....when they are in the car attached to the harness they will both start to work....like when i was priming the motor...but then when i went to start it with the injectors and coils plugged in it will just pop out but no spin....i pulled the plugs again and it still wont turn....anyone had this problem? im guessing its a wiring issue but when another sr was in my coupe it was starting fine.
