Hello, I don't post here that much because I basically just come in and properly use the search button. Unfortunately I searched a lot and could not find a similar problem to this. Here are the details:90 CoupeRedtop SRStock Boost, Stock Turbo, Stock ECU.Motor has good compression.

Problems starts when it hits boost. The engine will rev to w/e RPM as long as it's at vacuum, once it hits boost (around 5psi), it just hits a wall. It falls flat on its ***. At first glance we thought it was a boost leak, the vehicle originally had an EBAY bov, I changed that to a Greddy TypeR. Originally it had some sloppy *** turbo inlet pipe which sat the MAF too close to the turbo, changed that. I had the harness redone completely thinking it was some screwed wiring by the previous owner.

Injectors work, Coils work, Timing should be good. But if timing was the culprit of this problem, the car would basically break up at a certain RPM and then rev up till redline, basically when it hits this "wall", it just stops. Only option is to let off.

Only other option is the ECU or maybe the CAS. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced a problem like this before. Motor turns on fine, idles perfect, doesn't overheat....nothing. Just this one problem.

have you checked your timing? if you are just running the factory timing and not timing it to 15 degrees then it will feel like it had no power when it hit boost.

you would hear the turbo spool but the car wont feel any more powerful. ALSO if your trying to time it with a timing gun and you notice its jumping all over then you have a bad TPS sensor.

with a bad TPS sensor the ecu will start throwing timing to correct it.

If you think its spark plugs then then make sure your running atleast a NGK BKR7E's its a colder and gap them from 0.28 - 0.30.

keep us posted

was your sock filter really dirty?? if it was, then chances are you have a lot of sediment in your tank. i would suggest drainign the tank and cleanin out all the sediment.

It had a walbro before which was extremely loud, now you're not supposed to run walbros below 1/4 tank of gas. Mainly because it's a high volume fuel pump and it'll suck any 18 year old dirt that's at the bottom of your fuel tank.

That's what the other guy must have done, either way I'm gonna drain my tank and re-install it the first change I get.
