SR PROBLEM.. I BROKE 3 ROCKER ARMS

yea so i figured out why car was misfire i broke the intake and exhaust rocker arms on the cylinder closeest to the firewall and i broke the exhaust rocker arm on the cylinder next to it idk how this happend.

but i just wanted to see if this would cause major damage to anything else besides the parts in the head but woud this damage anything in the block? has this ever happened to anyone here

When I read your other thread, that was the first thing I thought. You may have lucked out and not caused any damage to the head since its still running. My buddys SR did the same thing he bent valves. Not likely that there will be any damage to the bottom end. I have some used rocker arm stoppers and a new valve cover gasket for sale if your interested. Good luck.

Learn how to shift, that's the obvious answer

THrowing rockers can result in 2 issues: None, or bent s***. You also are now invited into the 'shim and guide' easter egg hunt' for your engine. Make sure you find both before re assembly.

9/10 it's just a toss off that you can re assemble without issue.

FWIW:

ROcker Arm Stoppers are great, but bend valves. No stroppers can result in the same issue. Your choice.

And accurate.

When you break rocker arms, you were doing something wrong. The only time I have ever seen rockers break is during valve float (which stoppers can only reduce the possibility, not eliminate), which results from over revving.

Have you done any work on your head, as far as after market upgrades?What RPM are you taking your head to?
