sr problem??? help

i just installed an E60 MAF which is off of the later RB25DET, Maximas, and I30, on my blacktop sr20det. i have an Apexi AFC I, but when i first installed the MAF the car ran great with no modding of the AFC settings except the correct Hot Wire settings. now about 4 days later the engine breaks up and backfires, hesitates, does not want to accelerate at times and not right when the car starts up. just after driving for a bit. it started doing this on the highway when i was coming from orlando,fl to tampa,fl which is about 1hr and half. i was just outside the tampa city limits when the car first did this. i pulled over and let the car sit and idle for about 5 mins then started driving again and the car ran fine. then when i went to wal-mart later that night the car acted up again. i just checked the plugs and they were a bit black but not overwhelming and dripping with fuel. please help me ???

check the grounds and wiring on the afc

i think i might have fixed it. i pulled some fuel out and drove it around today and it had no problems and ran smooth.
