Well i have a problem with my redtop. Under light acceleration my engine will start choking when i hit 2500rpms and up in all gears, it would choke then stop for a couple of secs then choke agian and agian etc. If i go to medium or hard acceleration there will be not problem at all. I first thought my mafs could have been messed up so i used a sohc mafs. For anyone using sohc mafs on there car the pins go like this correct?

SR ----------- KAB -----------> AC -----------> BD -----------> C

This is what i found on NICO, but it seems that it may not be the MAFS if the wiring is correct. What else could be the problem?? Please help.

My mods are:Intake, downpipe, test pipe, and exhaust. Thats all...

Thanks

Check your ECU for codes.

Match the colors. They're the same for the SR MAFS and the SOHC MAFS. If you're able to rev past 3k, chances are it's not a bad mafs. Give it a cleaning though with some carb cleaner and don't shoot directly at it. It's pretty fragile stuff. It's only at low acceleration...did you try running a fuel system cleaner yet? If you're mashing it, mashing it could just mask the roughness but the problem could still be there. Also do a plug read. That should give at least a better idea of what's going on inside the combustion chambers.
