Sr prob-very simple

I pulled the motor for a friend to fix a few problems he had.

When hooking the harness back up there is the plug. Then three posts n the back of the alternator. The bottem post (closest to the ground) went thru the transmission harness, next one up was power, then the top on (i swear it was another ground)

WHAT DOES THAT GO TO?!

Someone else hooked up the harness, we were on a time scedual. The car runs fine but as expected is having charging issues.
