Well I took my car to my local mechanic to have a whirring noise checked out, figured it might just be some bad belts but wanted some reassurance. Turns out I have a bad a/c pulley tensioner. There's a bearing inside the pulley that has worn out and is causing some very annoying noises while the motor is running. My question is this...is there another Nissan car that shares this same pulley? The engine is an S14 SR. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

Im not sure if you are talking about the idler pulley (smaller pulley between the AC and PS pulleys) or the AC compressor pulley itself.

If its the idler pulley I have bad news and good news. The bad news is the part number is 11925-65F01 and it did not come on any US cars. The good news is that the S13 SR20DET idler pulley is interchangeable so you can probably find one that somebody doesnt want since most people dont keep AC on SR swaps. Just try to get one from somebody local who is tossing the AC componants. I have two of these idler pulleys just laying around though there doesnt seem to be any bearing inside.

Maybe this well help clear things up. It's the jet black pulley on the bottom right sitting partially behind the plastic recirculation tubing. I was told it was called the A/C tensioner pulley, but perhaps it's known by something else.

Anyone have a shot of their S13 SR pulley assembly? Wondering if the tensioner pulleys might be one in the same.

SpeedRacer1,

I went ahead and just removed the pulley assembly and took a quick snapshot. The car sounds fine now. Here's a quick pic of the pulley entirely disassembled.
