i hit the search button but did no help.... no flaming. Got my fmic installed and i have a electric fan but went cheap on the fan lol ... lovely autozone fan... still works... but back to the point... i run good driving around... but once i step on it.... after the lovely min of boost... i see my temp gauge start to creep up to the h mark... of course i plead and beg it to come back down but it doesnt listn...

i think i might know whats going on..

1. in the mornings when the car is warming up... u hear a winding noise comming from the engine... when its warmed up it stops... so i think that might be my waterpump.

2. just got my fmic installed and its all messed up... im stalling like no other... backfiring like no other... and smells like gas.... so of course im running rich.

So you guys think i should go with the nismo thurmostat???? also what about gettn that heat wrap **** for the manifold and ****. i know that would work some...

:help :help

You probably have a leak in you FMIC piping, they are tricky to find, but that is probably why you are running rich.

You are over heating because the new FMIC is blocking air flow to your radiator. I see you live in Florida, which doesn't help your overheating situation. Get some dual fans, or put the clutch fan back on along with the e-fan you have now, if it will fit. The best thing would be to get a bigger radiator, like a Koyo Alum, if you have the $$. If you get the Koyo you will probably be able to keep the e-fan you have now and not have anymore problems.

so basically since you got the FMIC now you need a new radiator, this is how one mod leads to another, it never ends, LOL

i will check my fmic pipeing this weekend. Wouldnt the ka radiator be good?? right now im using the sr radiator and that thing is tiny. If not ill go ahead and get the koyo radiator.

guess i gotta wait a lil longer to purchase me the greddy oil pan : (

I think the SR and KA radiators are pretty much the same except for the inlet/outlets. both are too small to handle mid-august florida heat with a FMIC blocking air flow. I would definitley suggest a Koyo before any other mods, there is no point of having a greddy oil pan on a car who's head is warped or cracked from overheating.
