So I'm part of a garage crew called TGD speed and we decided i needed a project car for myself. at first i thought the sr20 was a great idea, i mean, cheaper than RB26, and easier to find than the RB26. but then we realized the RB26 was a better choice even though it's an incredible tight fit. the main things we discussed was if the RB26 was "too much" for the 240, looking at weight and being RWD instead of AWD with the RB25 transmission, and we were also confused about buying performance parts for the car. Would we buy for a Skyline, a 240, or find individual parts to the engine, then exhaust for the 240 and put them together? SO, seeing that i'd be the one putting out money, how should i go about doing the swaps: either stay stock engine and build from there, or save money and get a non-running 240 and do the sr20 or rb26 swap.
Another thing is if we should keep the flip up headlights and just get an Origin full body kit with CF vented hood, widened fenders and a lower wing OR go for a Bomex s15 conversion and a higher wing. i was planning on keeping the black top and use a pearl arctic blue as paint and use either volk or konig 5 spoke gunmetal rims and deepdish rims in back.
yeah i'm a noob at NICO but i'm not a forum noob. plus i'm pretty damn curious on what people think, i want a show car that's as fast as it looks.
240's, sr20's, and rb26's are great things so lets keep it nice in responses
