I just did a timing chain on my black top SR. I cranked the engine until the oil pressure light went out, and the car started up and ran with no issues. I even drove the car around the block with no problems.
I let the car sit overnight and went to start the car up again. The car started right up but the oil light stayed on so I turned it right off. I have no oil pressure. I pulled the plugs etc and tried priming the pump by cranking it, but I dont get any oil pressure at all. I thought that maybe something was clogging my oil pickup, so I dropped the pan, but nothing seemed to be wrong. I put it back together with new oil, but still cant build any pressure.
Looking back at the FSM, it says that there is an Oring between the block and the front cover that I have to replace. I didnt change mine cause I didnt have a new one when I did my timing chain. Could a bad O ring cause my engine to completely lose oil pressure? Anyone have any idead what could be wrong with me motor???
