I am concerned with the general maintenance issues concerning an SR swap. Does the SR20DET use the same oil filter and spark plugs as the SR20DE? On that note, what simularities do these two motors share?

Lastly I'm contemplating a set of 5Zigen FN01C wheels in bronze, actually I'm pretty much set on them unless I can get forged ones. However, the local shop said bronze wheels tend to turn a nasty shade of green. How true is this? Can it be solved with a little preventive maintenance like Simple Green or a similar product if it is true or would I be better off going with gunmetal?

Thanks in advance.

Uhh... how can paint turn colors, any who, the SR20DET uses different filters for different years.

S13 engines use 91 SR20DE Sentra SE-R filters.

There are a handful of similarities but for the most part they have alot of differences.

The whole color thing didn't make a whole lot of sense to me either. Maybe if they were real bronze or copper.

LOL if your local shop said your "bronze" wheels will turn green, I think it's time to find a new local shop. Did they honestly think that it would turn the color of one of those old church domes or were they just messin with you? Sounds like something I'd tell one of my buds to throw them off, but not a customer.:pface

I can picture this shop being one of those with the APC banners hung everywhere and telling people that they need new taillights. It can't be hard to find a good shop in TX, try finding one for me in Iowa.

Good selection of wheels by the way. One of my personal favs.

Actually I thionk it's because they don't do a whole lot of tuning. Rather they specialize in custom fiberglass work like gauge pods and nitrous enclosures.

oh great.. so they cant even tune cars, they just give em some bottle-throttle and call it a day? how nice.

wheels turning green? hah... sure.. lets see soemone make a wheel out of copper or bronze, and i would like to see how long it lasts before it gets more warped then the head of the person in that shop.
