Do you have to have the lower harness transmission plugs pluged in to start the car? I am going to use my KA transmission but dont want to take it apart till the SR starts so all I have on there right now is the bell housing and starter.

I have spark, checked the timing with an inductive light hooked up to the loop of wire at the back of the coil pack harness and it was good. Compression is good, and when I took the fuel line off after cranking fuel sprayed out so I'm getting pressure.

I gota find a way to check the injectors to see if the ecu is firing them!

I have a black top with a red top ecu 62

The motor is cranking but not firing at all, I also have the maf disconected.

Motor should start with MAF disconnected.. dont know about the transmission sensors honestly.

you can test injector fire with a VU meter or the 'screwdriver' test. Listen for the injector pulses either by ear or by placing a screwdriver against one and listening through the handle.

Mine didn't start, fuel lines were backwards.

Yeah, make sure the fuel lines are correct. That is a VERY common mistake... It sounds like you have them backwards... If fuel sprayed ot the line, you have them backwards. The transmission sensors won't keep it from starting. It will start without the MAF, but it will run like **** and you CANNOT rev it. There is a picture somewhere in this thread .
