ok...so i recently did a hg on my sr redtop and everything was going well until I made the biggest mistake ever...I left the dam ratchet on the crank and it got stuck while I was trying to crank the engine and it actually started...the car sounded like crap though...it would not rev...i removed my cover and my exhaust cam broke...so i replaced the cam and the car started right up...the idle is perfect and the engine sounds ok...when i try to rev the engine it sounds weird...it revs strong but i dont hear the turbo spool up...i do get a little air out of the blow off valve but thats it...the turbo is fine and I made sure everything is connected properly...I guess my question is did I probably damage my valves since my car started with only one cam working?

These questions irritate me. Yes, you probably did. But no one here can tell you, check compression and know for sure.

Turbo won't generally spool without a load, so don't expect to hear to much if you are just there rev'ing it by hand.
