A good place to always start is with the airflow,Intake,exhaust,intercooler....Get you a nice downpipe,o2 sensor pipe. And a FMIC and some piping..

AND use the SEARCH !!! It will really answer most of your question you might have..

let the car breathe easier with intake and exhaust upgrades. its relatively inexpensive to do and its mostly a bolt on affair.

a turbo timer, boost/vacuum gauge, AFR meter, and boost gauge would be good ways to monitor your engine.

check all your sensors and tune the car up. check that your spark plugs are gapped correctly, and that your o2 sensor isn't fouled up. basics like flushing the coolant system, checking all necessary fluid levels. if you plan on upgrading i recommend a boost contoller or a brake upgrade since the stockers won't hold up to well.

if you're running a stock 240 radiator it might overheat in the summer time. you'd be smart to go with an aluminum radiator with FAL dual electric fans. not sure if you're running a front mount but an oil catch tank, if you do'nt already have one, would help keeping the intake system cleaner. as for reliability getting some gauges to monitor your engine wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Yeah its still using the stock radiator the guy who installed it told me that the stock worked better than the aluminum on his s14 thats why he didnt put a new one in the S13.

uhhh... no.

anyways, start putting on a big turbo, big injectors, big cams, valve S/R, nice tune, lots of boost, etc, etc. If you get bored then you can get forged internals and even bigger turbo haha. Oh and more boost.

Anyways, on a more realistic note... SRs are not very hard engine to work on. Few of things that I hate doing.

1. Replacing the oil pump with the engine still in the car2. Taking the trans off and putting it back in with the engine still in the car3. Valve springs w.o the right tool. This would be difficult on all engines without a proper valve spring compressor or a valve keepers tool4. Hunting for boost/vac leaks. Ugh.5. How easy it is to strip the threads on the block (alum). Especially the oil pan bolts. Arg. Next time my engine comes out all of those farckers are getting heliecoils.6. Make sure you get torque wrenches to prevent your threads being stripped. I recommend one that measures in in*lb and one in ft*lb.

Besides those things... they are pretty easy to work on.

Nope. I've been running a stock ka radatior for 3 years never had a prob with it overheating. Now I have a fmic and still no probs with the heat. Just get some fans and you should be fine. Bigger is awalys better in this case but its not crucial.
