What kind of times have you run? and how do you find the lag?

hi guys.

i'm new to this forum but we have a heap of sr20det's running nitrous where i am in australia. run a wet shot with a separate fuel pump for the nitrous and you won't have to upgrade your injectors.

i've run over 50 bottles of nitrous in my near stock engine and have had no problems. the sr20det's seem to love them. only real essentials are a boost controller and exhaust. there are several cars where i am that run just an exhuast, boost controller and nitrous that would have them see 350+ hp and easy 12 sec 1/4 miles.

i myself am making about a tad over 420+hp and have run 11.9 @ 118.8 mph. i have run this time several times at the strip. when i ran this time the car was stock turbo, stock injectors. at the moment the car is getting a new turbo, new injectors, new ecu and will make about 500hp when it's done (with nitrous).

Something doesn't seem right....stock turbo, stock injectors, and 420hp? how is that possible, even with nitrous.....???

I have video of my runs as well as timeslips and pictures.

Many people have seen my car run at events overe here and my car is quite well known.

I run 10 psi with 100 shot of nitrous. The boost spikes to about 13 psi. Without nitrous I run 18 psi (when I had the stock turbo) and it makes 350hp but no where near as much torque. I have run 12.9 with slicks and no nitrous with stock turbo and stock fuel system with front mount, exhaust and tuning.

Sorry, forgot to mention too that my car is a S15 2001 200SX. Which comes with a ball bearing turbo. They are a T28 turbo and make a lot more power and can be boosted higher then the older T25 type.

Here are some pics of my car launching.

Someone did host some video for me but I forget the link, will see if I can find it for you.

the k3t lag isn't horrible. a little worse then my friends t3t04e 60 trim. i wouldn't have bought this turbo setup, but it came on a clip i bought. the hks gt 3037 or t66 is what i would have bought.420hp is a little much for 11.9sec. i would expect11.3 or so. but yeah n2o will get you power. witha t25 i would expect it to creep uncontrolably though. the t28 must be a little better on the wastegate size. my tial 35mm creeps to 15 from 7 when i spray. shaun

it had the mile per hour to run a much faster time, 118.8 mph but i am still new to drag racing so i wasn't able to drive the car to it's full potential. i don't know if i can go a 11.3 with the same setup but i don't think a mid 11 would be out of the question.

at the moment though the car is getting a new turbo, ecu, gearbox, clutch, flywheel and injectors. i'm aiming for 500hp at the fly and want to be able to pull a low 11 with this setup. i know the car should have enough power to pull a late 10 but the setup is far from perfect for drag racing being a manual car with street suspension but if i can manage a really good run i would be dissapointed not to get into the low 11's.

Iv used NOS on my ka when I first had my 96 se. It was a 60 shot but you can go alittle higher. no more than 100 shot. to be safe though make sure you stick around 60-75 shot. Thats just my personal opinion and in now way is a fact although by listening to everyone else in the past and in the present I think its safe to assume I would be correct.:) just make sure you dont runlean and timing, fuel filter, fuel pressure, etc and so on.
