Hello SR Mechanics, Ok Heres the problem... I've had my redtop for about 6 months and on the 4th month it felt as if my sr was loosing power very slowly. My friends told me i was just getting used to the power. After i installed my turbo mani, 3" downpipe, 3" elbow, 3" exhaust, and an overkill 31" wide, 12" tall, 3" thick intercooler, my power feels like it was when i first got my sr installed. What can this be???

I came up with a couple of things i thought it could be:

Stage 2, 3puck clutch Spark Plugs havent been changed in 7months with 15k miles added Engine wear and tear

Oh Yeah, i was boosting at .7bar and after the front mount im boosting at .6bar, i believe that is normal, but can i up my boost to 12 psi now that i have a fmic?

Help me if u can... Greatly appreciate it Thanx

not sure bout "the losing of power".....but i do kno the stock t25 turbo can hold up to around 12psi before it starts to get inneficient.....so you should be able to crank up the boost. i have friends in ohio running their stock t25's on around 11-12 psi and their engines are fine. you prob are just used to the power now and that's why it seems that your not gaining anything. when u install a front mount, it takes much more effort to get the air to the intake manifold b/c it has to travel a longer distance than w/a factory smic......so that's prob why your boosting at .6 bar instead of .7bar. when u go front mount crank up the boost, otherwise their no sense in making the air travel farther for nothing. turn up the boost at your own risk though, b/c after all who knows the conditions of your internals and especially your head gasket......and to confirm ure power get it dynoed.......

I would first check for Boost leaks and exhaust leaks.

This is apparently a common occurence.
