first ill tell u what happenedi was taking her for a spin around the block and havin some fun, well it overheated. by fun i dont me slidin any corners, just driving it.

now for the long story. 3 months after i got the car ( swap was done when i bought it by some kid in FL ) i fried a piston turning my boost up to high ( i know i know ). i took it to some shop in SAV GA handed it to them nearly a yea later after i had enough money for a build kit. 8 months later ( i know i know !!!!) the shop finished it. They also managed to break a cam gear, also had a new alternator and starter put on.

When i picked it up on my midtour leave ( june 08 ) when he said it was ready. They still had a problem, the fuel injectors were shooting at 98-100% which is exhibiting a rich flow. He said i should get a new EMS. This is after a ton of promises and " itll be done by ... ". He said it was driveable and i took it from them and to my girls house. I am not taking it back to that shop. HERES my question, would it be possible that the rich fuel problem could reuslt in over-heating ?? or maybe i just need to break in my pistons some more, maybe the radiator took a dump... now im back in iraq and cant double check it

any advice would be appreciated !!!

thanks----andrew

thanks for serving for this country, i joined the marines not too long ago and i appreciate what all other soldiers have done before me.

anyways....... too much fuel will not cause over heating. take a harley davidson for instance, its an air cooled engine, if you were to sit in traffic in a hundred degree weather, and the bike is gettin hot, the new bikes will actually inject more fuel to cool the engine down. all theory considered if the mixture is off anyways, the combustion wouldnt be as optimal = creating less fire, less heat other than friction but too much fuel would serve as "some" sort of lubrication.unfortunately your a million miles away and you cannot check your set up, so there about 30 different things that could have happened. i suppose ill ask the obvious, was the ecu temp sensor change from jdm to usdm? also, what is your setup? koyo radiator? oem? clutch fan? cooling panels? does the heater work? where do you live?

again thanks for serving....Miles

not a prob bro !!

anyways, before the blow out she was running find. as the shop starts rebuilding it they notice i have an old ka24 radiator. not a big deal ( as per the shop ) i know the heater worked but i didnt run it while i was home, and i do not have cooling panels yet. i am thinkin that it may be the radiator along with the fact i highly doubt this ****ty *** shop broke in my new pistons. damn i wish i were home !! u dont happen to know anyone that is sellin a shell of a s13 or s15 do ya ? im lookin to possibly swap it out when i get back... we will see

thanks to u too bro !!

thermostat?is there coolant leaking? are your fans turning on?

first and foremost it could be the basic things.

Sadly our goverment is mismanaging this war and turningit into a hegemonic imperial crusade. so i am not pleased with it, and I cant necessarily say thank you,

but I do hope you get home safely and that you're all right.
