sr intake mani

This might be a dumb question but what the hell is the secret with taking the intake mani off. I have everything unbolted and everything moves expect the front part of the mani. The very first stud doesnt move but all the other ones do.

I find it easier to take off the upper and lower intake mani as one piece. If you try to take the upper mani off, the studs on either corner of the runners will prevent you from taking the top piece off. You can try removing all the braces connected to the lower intake mani and then wiggle that while you try to take the top piece off.

It's much easier if you just remove the braces and take off the intake manifold as one piece.

exactly what i did... works wonders! your mani might be stuck to the block from the gasket getting heated... just give a nice tug and it should come off[
