I have a SR redtop, pretty much all stock sans the front mount intercooler, crummy bov, exaust and greddy turbo boost controller. When I start the car, it idles at about 950rpm as it should, but as it runs.. it'll bump down consistantly until it gets to about 500-600rpm.

It even dies when I come to stop.

I read somewhere about troubleshooting this (and yes, I searched here but couldnt really find it again) and I remember reading if you unplug the MAF and it returns to normal, it could mean there's something wrong with the TPS.

The car runs perfect at idle with the MAF unplugged.

I've also noticed that I'm running rich, and get crummy gas mileage... but attributed this to the fact that I didnt have a engine management or AFC system and tune.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would check the wiring going to your MAF and your O2 sensor. You do not need a AFC or anything to tune a stock SR20DET to get it to run right.

replace your O2 sensor and recirculate your BOV. Also double check TPS voltages and mechanical timing.

I don't think unplugging the MAF tells you anything about the TPS ... it only puts the ecu into a preset limp mode

Did you extend your O2 wires? I did and accidentally spliced a fiber of the shielding to the sensor wire which was grounding it out making it run open loop. idle was rough, fumy, and I burned a little over a quarter tank of gas taking it out to the movies and back my first night with it.

try runnin stock boost and as neil said check tps voltages.

i would also check your fuel pressure and make sure your pump is working properly

i had a bad issue with idling it turned out my fuel pump wasnt producing much pressure even thought the fuse was fine. also my ecu was getting wrong codes from the tps even thought the voltages were correct

WOT 4.0V ish closed is 0.35v i believe and then anywhere in between for partial opening (correct me if im wrong)
