We have a customer who has an SR20DET HICAS power steering pump with bracket, and he wants to trade for a non-HICAS one w/ bracket.

I saw in someones signature that they had a regular one and needed HICAS.

Does the search bypass signatures? It seems to be working very badly. No results when searching for HICAS? Gotta be wrong, I saw it last night!

Thanks,

Well this post is three weeks old, but... if he's still interested in trading, one of my customers has a stock SR pump and bracket and needs HICAS :-)

Probably too much for my customer, I know he's running short of money. I'll let you know if he's inetrested. I still hoping I can find someone who wants to trade.

Where were you guys when I was looking for a HICAS pump. It took me forever to find one.

Anyway, $65+shipping is the going rate for a steering pump

Just do like I did and rip the HICAS pump open and take out the vanes for the rear pump, stick a plug in the hole (I used a big bolt from NAPA) and your set. That's what I'd do if I was uber short on money and in his situation.

BTW I was asking about a HICAS pump for trade a few months ago before I 'fixed' mine. But I don't think I'm the guy your are lookin for.

Thanks for the advise movingv... I'll keepe that in mind if I ever have a HICAS pump to go in a non HICAS car. It's te hother way aroudn this time, I was looking for a HICAS pump, not details on how to dissable it :-)

BTW.. my customer found one, so it's no longer required!

ahh gotcha, sorry for the 'bad advise' then.

BTW my buddy has a pump he'd trade if anybody else needs to unload a regular pump and bracket.
